7. Donations and Refunds
7.1 Payments
  • We aim to donate up to 72% of net proceeds (revenue after operational costs) to partner charities. The exact percentage may vary depending on fluctuations in expenses such as transport, storage, and processing fees. Our priority remains to support our charities to the fullest extent possible while maintaining the sustainability of our services.
  • We also guarantee a minimum payment of £300 per ton for textiles and £150 per ton for bric-a-brac and other accepted items, regardless of sales outcomes or other factors. This guaranteed amount is included as part of the total payment calculation.
  • The 72% net proceeds commitment applies to donations received from 17/12/2024 onwards. Proceeds from collections made prior to this date were allocated based on previous charitable agreements.
  • This ensures your chosen charity consistently benefits from donations while maintaining transparency in the payment process.
  • Payment Schedule: Charity payments are processed on a monthly basis and will be completed by the 10th of the following month, subject to sufficient proceeds being available. To enhance efficiency, all payments are consolidated into a single payment per charity. Kindly note that we are unable to provide individual breakdowns of how much each donation has generated for your chosen charity.
  • Important Notice: We will not make payments for items that are unusable, unsellable, or listed as non-acceptable in our What We Accept guidelines. Even if such items are collected, your chosen charity will not receive any funds from them.
7.2 Refunds
  • Donations from collected items are non-refundable and will be used to support environmental or charitable initiatives.
